Worrigee’s picturesque Links golf course took its first swing into PGA Pro-Am territory with the Legends Pro-Am on Thursday 17 October 2019.

With over 50 pros in attendance playing alongside die-hard Worrigee Link members and sponsors, the inaugural Pro-Am was a massive success and is setting itself up to be a key date on the Legends circuit – the South Coast Swing.

With gusty winds, but perfect greens, the golfers weren’t deterred and kept playing through what was over 40km winds. Winners were Pro Brad Burns, Amateur Men’s Winner Brad Harding, Amateur ladies winner Christine Tyrell and Sponsors winner David Stilltoe.

There was more opportunity for pro’s to show off their talent with a shoot-out for nearest the pin as they battled the still gale-force winds late into the day with winner of a quick $500 cash – Lucien Tinkler.
